Adoption: First Meeting With Our Social Worker

Well, we finally had our first meeting with our social worker yesterday.  She seemed surprised by how much we had done already — medical exams, clearances, and employment verification letter.  We scheduled our homestudy meeting for 12/21, so J and I only have two weeks to get the rest of our paperwork together.  We should have everything we need on hand though, so it should be easy, if a bit time intensive, to make all the copies.  Our education course is scheduled for mid-January, so assuming we get our profile done in a timely manner, we should be officially “waiting” by the end of January/beginning of February!

Congrats! We have been placed for our second domestic infant, and we’re just waiting for her to be born.
